The Musikkapelle rehearses the „Dream machine“
Composer Thiemo Kraas is fascinated by the progress of the orchestra

It’s important to Kraas that the musicians get a feeling for every single scene of the piece. „That’s the centre of our work. Creativity and skills have to join tgether“,o explained Kraas and the conductor André Baumeister agreed. With his funny comments every now and then the composer made the musicians feel comfortable and caught their interest again and again which led to very good results.
Beatrix Overmann who is going to narrate the story of the dream machine at the performance is very pleased that this project takes place. „Nowadays it is very important to catch all the senses. That’s not a problem for children but for adults who often don’t take time to immerge into a subject completely.“
A well-prepared orchestra and an expressive composition will fascinate the children on the 10th November in the Westmünsterlandhalle and will give a break from everyday life to the adults.
„I would like to make story telling more famous again. It has become a bit old-fashioned, but that’s not right to my point of view“, summarizes Kraas. With his musical story played by the Musikkapelle Heiden and read by Beatrix Overmann, he tries to initiate a change.
